Our Coaching staff is committed to providing the best possible training and support to our squads. The staff currently consists of:

Head Coach

Padraic Dolan

Padraic is a level 3 swim coach who is very motivated and enjoys the challenge of working with the age group swimmer and getting them to swim and compete to their potential. Padraic is originally from Strokestown  Co. Roscommon where he played both Soccer and Gaelic football up to county level and is also very involved in athletics.

 

Assistant Coach

Rafal Lechicki

Rafal hails from Poland. He holds a S.I. Level 2 Teaching Aquatics qualification, Pool Lifeguard Level 2 certification from Irish Water Safety, and he is an NCEF Fitness Instructor. Rafal is with LMSC since autumn 2012, where he started as a voluntary coach, and few months later became formal member of the club. In the near future, he would like to expand his knowledge by attending and completing Swim Ireland Level 2 Swim Coach course.

 

Assistant Coach

Joseph Bergin

Joseph Bergin is currently working in Portlaoise Leisure Centre as both a swimming instructor and lifeguard. He holds both the RLSS and the IWS qualifications, and is a Level 2 Swim Ireland  coach.

 


Volunteer Coaching Programme

As part of our commitment to fostering a new generation of swim coaches,  we also have 1 volunteer coach, David Overton who has completed his Level One coaching awards with Swim Ireland.

Junior Coaching Programme

As part of our commitment to fostering a new generation of swim coaches,  we also have 2 junior coaches who have completed their Level one coaching awards with Swim Ireland. They are:
