Our Coaching staff is committed to providing the best possible training and support to our squads. The staff currently consists of:
Padraic is a level 3 swim coach who is very motivated and enjoys the challenge of working with the age group swimmer and getting them to swim and compete to their potential. Padraic is originally from Strokestown Co. Roscommon where he played both Soccer and Gaelic football up to county level and is also very involved in athletics.
Rafal hails from Poland. He holds a S.I. Level 2 Teaching Aquatics qualification, Pool Lifeguard Level 2 certification from Irish Water Safety, and he is an NCEF Fitness Instructor. Rafal is with LMSC since autumn 2012, where he started as a voluntary coach, and few months later became formal member of the club. In the near future, he would like to expand his knowledge by attending and completing Swim Ireland Level 2 Swim Coach course.
Joseph Bergin is currently working in Portlaoise Leisure Centre as both a swimming instructor and lifeguard. He holds both the RLSS and the IWS qualifications, and is a Level 2 Swim Ireland coach.
Wonderful to have Valerie Gildea now coaching with Laois Marlins having grown up as a Templeogue athlete and been a Irish Record holder and International competitor. Great to have her as part of the LMSC coaching team.
